Amorphaphallas konjac

$25.00

You will receive 1 dormant bulbs between 50g-150g as weighed when first dug up.

The main photo is off google (online plant guide) as i have not flowered one of these yet.

Amorphophallus konjac is the most common species and a super hardy grower, ive had it growing in the greenhouse as well as outside in near full sun with great success. These bulbs can put on a huge amount of size over a single growing season so id recommended a 200-250mm pot for the first growing season.

Amorphophallus also like quite alot of fertiliser during the growing season and not let to dry out completely(similar watering to nepenthes). During autumn they will go dormant often collapsing over a few days. At which point I dig them up, wash the bulbs up and store them in a cool dry place until spring rolls back around when I will pot them back up into my chosen mix, 50/50 potting soil and perlite and 25/25/50 potting soil, coco chips and perlite have both worked well for me.

Growing condition

Difficulty: easy

Type: Intermediate

Water: clean water, keep damp.

Light: full sun to part shade

Humidity: High humidity preferred

For anymore information on these plants please feel free to contact us directly and I'll be more then happy to help.

We can only send plants within Australia only, excepting NT, WA and TAS.
