Amorphophallus claudelii

$30.00

You will receive 2 dormant bulbs already potted up. Keep dry until mid September or when new growth first appears.

Amorphophallus claudelii is a gorgeous miniature species that was only described in 2016 from Laos. Ive found this species to do great growing amongst my nepenthes in my intermediate greenhouse in a 50/50 mix of potting soil and perlite, but I will be experimenting more this upcoming season with various potting mixes and positions.

Amorphophallus also like quite alot of fertiliser during the growing season and not let to dry out completely(similar watering to nepenthes). During autumn they will go dormant often collapsing over a few days. At which point I dig them up, wash the bulbs up and store them in a cool dry place until spring rolls back around when I will pot them back up into my chosen mix, 50/50 potting soil and perlite and 25/25/50 potting soil, coco chips and perlite have both worked well for me.

Growing condition

Difficulty: medium

Type: Intermediate

Water: clean water, keep damp.

Light: full sun to part shade

Humidity: High humidity preferred

For anymore information on these plants please feel free to contact us directly and I'll be more then happy to help.
