Amorphophallus kiusianus

$20.00

You will receive 1 offset bulb, best stored dry before being potted up in early spring.

The main photo is off google (plants delight nursery) as i have no flowered one of these yet.

Amorphophallus kiusianus is another great easy species to grow. It grew very successfully last season in my intermediate greenhouse and will be trying it outside this coming season but I suspect i will have no issues with that.

I recommend a 150mm pot minimum for this size as it can put on quite alot of size over the growing season.

Amorphophallus also like quite alot of fertiliser during the growing season and not let to dry out completely(similar watering to nepenthes). During autumn they will go dormant often collapsing over a few days. At which point I dig them up, wash the bulbs up and store them in a cool dry place until spring rolls back around when I will pot them back up into my chosen mix, 50/50 potting soil and perlite and 25/25/50 potting soil, coco chips and perlite have both worked well for me.

Growing condition

Difficulty: medium

Type: Intermediate

Water: clean water, keep damp.

Light: full sun to part shade

Humidity: High humidity preferred

For anymore information on these plants please feel free to contact us directly and I'll be more then happy to help.

We can only send plants within Australia only, excepting NT, WA and TAS.
